Turd T-Shirt Thursday’s begins with cats on the loose, and they’re all spayed.
Showing off my collection of colorful cotton upper body swatches adorned with heat-treated vinyl, pretty colors, and sometimes words are the most I can do as a contributing member of society.
Today this cat is debuting a rice paper thin print of Lion-o holding the Sword of Omens from the 1985 cartoon, “Thundercats”
From the music, the crazy lost in space running away from a dying race, acclimating to a new environment, and being a fucking naked cat while doing it: one of the best shows I could ever watch pre-drugs.
I can’t go into individual episodes; what’s my favorite or this or that. My life with the Thundercats played across a few other mediums before my absolute love for the show was truly defined. Firstly, I completely customized my then Windows desktop Thundercats theme-and I mean entirely. Down to the loading and shutdown screens, custom to the T.
The second was my downloading of a few mp3’s of “bloopers” from Thundercat episodes. Hilarious nonsense in the voices of Lion-O, Panthro, and Snarf cursing about made-up monkey shit.
Lastly was the naming of my first ever cat, Cheetara. She was an ordinary tabby and had her for 11 years until she went to Third Earth for a permanent vacation.
I haven’t even gotten close to watching all of the episodes yet. Four seasons and 130 episodes can wait when I have nothing else to do. Maybe I’ll hit up the Ro-Bear Berbils to come over and watch it with me.
